Grateful Heart Monday

I've been sitting here thinking about what to write this morning, because I couldn't think of anything last night, and I still have no idea what to write about. I haven't been in the best of moods lately because of a disappointing realization that a person I thought was nice and welcoming is not and the budding friendship I thought we had is not real.

Then I remembered that Emily over at Ember Grey. has an awesome link-up called Grateful Heart Monday. I love this idea and I really need a pick-me-up right now to focus on the good things going on right now.

Ember Grey

Let's do this in list form, because lists are awesome.

1. I am so very grateful for all of the positive feedback surrounding my elopement. Even though our families wished we had included them (to be quite honest, we didn't include or tell anyone until afterwards), they are so happy for us. It has been the best decision we've made.

2. I am grateful for my husband and the Love he shows every day. There is something every day that makes me fall in Love with him again and again. I tweeted proof of this yesterday!

burned* I wish you could go back and edit tweets...

3. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit my mom for Mother's Day last weekend. She is what I miss most about Georgia.

4. I am grateful that my cousin has been blessed with a bun in the oven. On their first try!! First baby of our generation in our family.

5. I am grateful for my school advisor. She has helped me so much in getting my crap together for the start of the summer session. Her advice has guided me to a good start on reaching my goals and has given me hope to eventually increase my work load to graduate early.

What are you grateful for?

  2. I love the idea of grateful monday. I am really lucky because in the 5 years I've lived with my husband there has maybe been 2-3 things I've made where he has tried it and decided not to eat it. Even stuff I know is awful that I won't eat, he'll still give it a go.

  4. I swear, I have almost your exact intro written in a journal from this past week. It's really hard to realize someone you thought was one way is really another (or at least acting like it). I'm so sorry. I love that you forced yourself to sit down though and come up with a list :) Once you get going, it all just sort of adds up, doesn't it? :) :) (And honestly- where have I been?!?! I think I missed the bit about your elopement?! Congratulations!!!! On my way to that post now!) XOXO We are blessed!

  8. Love this link-up! Congrats on getting married! My hubby & I had a small wedding but I totally recommend eloping to anyone who is engaged- the ceremony was not worth the stress IMO. But as long as you end up with a happy & strong marriage, that's what matters!

  9. stopping by from the link up! Sorry to hear about your friend, but you're totally better off without them. and I loved reading about your elopement story! So many people get so caught up in the flashiness of weddings that it is refreshing to hear that you gave it all up so quickly!

  10. I love this idea you have for grateful monday, so many of us forget to be thankful for the things we do have rather then envy over what we do not have. It is like having a grateful journal :)
I am personally grateful for having a supportive mother and the opportunity to return to school.

    congrats on your elopement!
