Mini Apple Pie Pastries

I was browsing Pinterest and I came across this recipe from a guest blogger at Immaculate Baking Co.

I decided I could totally pull this off.
I've never baked a real pie, and quite frankly I'm a bit intimidated by them, but these little ones seemed easy enough.  As usual, I tweaked the recipe to my taste and they came out beautifully. I only had one can of crescent rolls left over from making the cheesy chicken bacon wraps on Super Bowl Sunday, so this recipe will be for 8 pastries.

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Mix 1 cup of sugar, 2tbs of brown sugar, and a bit of cinnamon in a bowl. If you were wondering, a bit is like, 3-4 shakes of the cinnamon container.

Step 3: Wash, core, and cut one apple into 8 even(ish) slices.

Step 4: Melt about 2tbs of butter or margarine. and "paint" it on your crescent roll dough. Remember to make sure your cats don't try to drink your melted butter while your not looking.

Step 5: Spoon the sugar mixture on the buttered dough.

Step 6: Place your apple on the dough and roll it up effectively getting a sprinkling sugar mixture all over your counters.

Step 7: Place the rolled up pastries on your aluminum foil lined cookie sheet and "paint" more butter on the tops.

Step 8: Sprinkle more of your sugar mixture over your pastries cause we're all fat asses and need extra butter and sugar on everything. (Note: I forgot this step cause Philip was talking to me about how horrible the game was going)

Step 9: Bake for about 12 -14 minutes or until all your sugar mixture has melted and leaked out all over your cookie sheet golden brown.

We didn't even eat them until the next day cause we were so full from all the other food and snacks, but they made the house smell delicious. To reheat them, I preheated our toaster oven to about 350 and left them in there for a few minutes. They were so good and Philip has already requested I make more sometime soon.
