They Like Me, They Really Like Me

You guys! The sweetest thing happened to me on Monday. The wonderful Meagan from All the Joys nominated me for a blog award! (You can read her post here!) I got an award on a past blog before, but this one is all the more special because I'm really taking this blogging thing seriously this go round. I can't tell you how much you (my lovely readers) mean to me. Thank you.

11 Random Facts About me:

1. I eloped and didn't tell anyone for three weeks.

2. Instead of a blanket, I carried around my mother's half slip when I was little.

3. I didn't get my driver's license until I was 23. 

4. I only have one dimple. Seriously, check all my pictures.

5. I don't like onions or peppers anywhere near my food.

6. Just the smell of cucumbers makes me want to barf.

7. I had to have braces twice, because I sucked my finger.

8. Purple (of any shade) is my favorite color.

9. I could watch Pride and Prejudice all the time. Like. Every. Single. Day. I totally used to when I lived alone.

10. My mom and I have the same "cat" voice when speaking to/for our cats.

11. My favorite thing to do (besides blogging!) is DIY and craft projects.


Meagan's Questions: 

1. How long have you been blogging?

I started my first blog in 2010 and have been in and out since then. I started PIM in January of this year, and am really taking things to the next level.

2. What is your favorite part about blogging?

The community! There are so many great women to connect with. I have gained so much support and encouragement from Blogland and have made a few amazing friends.

3. Do you like where you live? If no, where would you like to live?

Missouri is growing on me. I like the slower pace of life out here in our tiny town. We do have plans to move to Georgia, but that won't be for several years.

4. What is your favorite tv show - of all time?

Of all time?? Golden Girls. Seriously that show is hilarious.

5. Dogs or cats? Why?

Cats. Why? Because if I don't say I prefer them, mine will claw me in my sleep.

6. What is your favorite season?

Fall. The crisp air. The beautiful colors. The perfect temperatures. What's not to love?

7. Are you an early bird or night owl?

Up until recently, I was a night owl for sure. For some reason, in April, I started getting right up at about 7:30 am every day. Even on the weekends. I can't sleep past 8:00 am or so anymore.

8. What do you think is the best and worst thing about being a woman?

The absolute worst thing about being a woman is having to deal with that gross monthly visitor. Really nature? 

The best thing about being a woman is cute clothes, accessories, and beauty products. Men just can't compete.

9. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
I would have to say Jennifer Lawrence. I think we could totally be besties.

10. If you were given the opportunity to go back in time and change one thing in your life, would you?

Nope. Not a thing. If all that junk never happened to me, I wouldn't be where I am today. I hate to sound cliche, but everything really does happen for a reason.

11. Coke or Pepsi?

If I absolutely have to choose it would be Coke. I don't really like either. If I have a soda, which is pretty rare these days, it's a Diet Dr. Pepper.
