My First Graduation

I still haven't found another Linky tool that is completely free. The one we were using has changed to subscription only, and this blog isn't bringing in enough moolah to cover the cost at the moment. So if you'd like to link-up, please leave your link in the comments! I'll be checking throughout the day today and tomorrow for links. I love to read your stories!

Let's get down to today's prompt!

Graduations: Kindergarten, Middle School, High School, or College. Pick one (or all!).

Since I did a post about my High School graduation already, I decided I'm going to share with you my Kindergarten graduation.

I had the coolest Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Carr. When we were learning about space, we made glow in the dark shirts and got to have a sleep over at the school. And when you're 5 or 6 years old, you still like school, so that was the best idea ever! My particular school didn't host Kindergarten graduations, but Ms. Carr wasn't going to let that stop her. She arranged for our class to have a little ceremony at her house.

We got all dressed up in our Sunday best (except that one kid in the orange shirt) and performed The Itsy Bitsy Spider, I made some sort of speech that my mother doesn't remember now, and we got a diploma. Graduating Kindergarten was a real achievement ya know! I wonder if my mom still has that diploma somewhere...

Did you "graduate" from Kindergarten? What was it like?

  4. I don't even know? I can't remember anything from Kindergarten other than playing "mcdonalds drive thru" with the toy blocks we had.
