Blogger Men Tell All - June

What is your favorite summer treat?
Hubs: I dunno. Probably smoothies.
Me: Why smoothies
Hubs: they are healthy and they are good. Lets you get your fruit servings in.
Me:You can also sneak in some veggies too.
Hubs: yep.

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go and why?
Hubs: France.
Me: Why.
Hubs: I've always wanted to go to France, not sure why. I've heard good things about it and that they have good food.
Me: mm hmm
Hubs: Plus there's stuff like the Eiffel Tower.

Do you have a favorite song that says “summer” to you? What is it?
Hubs: What?..... no. Not that I recall.
We: So there's no song that you know that feels like a summer type song.
Hubs: Well you could throw the Hokey Pokey in there. Shake it all about. And whatever the rest of the words are.
Me: *after stiffling my laughter* Seriously, though. The Hokey Pokey?
Hubs: It's the only song I could think of right off.

What summer project are you hoping to accomplish before fall?
Hubs: Are you laughing cause you think I'm going to say the bathroom?
Me: hahahaha, yes!
Hubs: Well, yeah. That would be nice.
Me: We're about half-way there.

Me: Anything else you'd like add?
Hubs: Cleveland sucks!
Me: Huh
Hubs: The NBA finals. I think they're rigged.
Me: How so?
Hubs: It's just weird how all 6 games were blowouts. And game seven just happened to be close and they made about $13 million in revenue off that game. Just seems fishy to me.
Me: Oh.

He never disappoints with these. Ever.

Blogger Men Tell All - March

Conversations with Philip are one of the most viewed topics here. And this one will not disappoint. I sat down with him earlier this month for another round of Blogger Men Tell All,with Becca Dorr, and this is what transpired.

Popcorn lover’s day is March 10! What’s your favorite popcorn flavor?
Hubs: Cheese.
Me: What kind of cheese?
Hubs: What do you mean what kind of cheese? Like cheddar cheese! You know the big cans of the caramel, the butter, and the cheese popcorn. Those ones. mmmmmm
Me: There's white cheddar popcorn too, though.
Hubs: Meh, it's alright.

What is the farthest you’ve traveled?
Hubs: Like how many miles? or... what do you mean by how far you've traveled?
Me: Like the farthest away.
Hubs: Probably on or cruise when we went to Mexico and the Caribbean. Or even the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
Me: I'm pretty sure Mexico is farthest away.

Have you ever dyed your hair? If not, what color would you dye it?
Hubs: Yes, I died it blond. It turned into piss blond and it looked disgusting on me.
Me: *laughing* So were one of those guys in middle school?
Hubs: Ugh. yes.

How are you doing on your New Year’s resolutions?
Hubs: I don't remember making any. So probably not good.
Me: *laughing* We didn't make any.
Hubs: I didn't think so.

That's my husband ladies (and gentlemen).

Did you participate this round?

Bear The Amazing Escape Artist + #BloggerMenTellAll

Let's get real today. Monday night I experienced what I think it might be like when parents lose track of their child in a store for a few minutes.

It started out like every Monday evening. We were about to get ready to go to bed, so I put Bear outside to potty while I took a bath. About half and hour later, all fresh and clean, I step outside to bring Bear back inside. I didn't see him and he didn't come running to me. OK, sometimes he's a lazy bum and stays lounging behind the shed. I walk out there and I still don't see him. Panic starts to set in. I pull his tie out line towards me and his collar is still attached to the end, but it's been unbuckled!

I sprinted inside and woke Hubs up. I was literally on the verge of tears, but my anxiety and worry took over. How long has he been gone? How did his collar get unbuckled? Which way did he wander off to? Has he been hit by a car? Did someone steal him?

Without complaint my amazing husband got out of bed and we went out to look for him. I drove around for ten minutes, probably pissing people off with my slow speed. It felt like HOURS! No luck. I don't know why, but I decided to drive back around our block, which is the usual route we take for walks, and I finally spotted Bear. Relief. My baby is ok. I called Hubs and he made his way over to where we were. With the help of some neighbors, we corralled Bear and got his collar back on him and into my car.

It's no secret that Hubs still has reservations about Bear, and his frustration was evident that night. He made a comment that upset me as we got back into bed. "If this happens again, we are getting rid of him." Heartbreak. A few minutes later I asked if he was serious about that comment, and he said yes. However, the next morning, after being able to calm back down, and put things inter perspective I received this text message. "Hey love, sorry about last night. Just to let you know, I'll never get rid of Bear 'cause I know how much he means to you."

This is how I know he loves me. This is why I love my Hubs more and more every single day. So I'm going to let you get to know him just a little bit better with these great questions from Becca at Becoming Adorrable for Blogger Men Tell All.

1. What is your favorite winter hobby?

Hubs: Staying warm.
Me: If I were to answer this for you, I would say Sleeping and Video Games.
Hubs: Sleeping isn't really a hobby. I cuddle a lot too.
Me: True.

2. Did you do anything special for your blogger on February 14th?

Hubs: Would that be you?
Me: Yeeessss.
Hubs: Yes. I surprised you with TWO boxes of candy and I cooked dinner for you.
Me: Yes you did. It was good steak too.

3. What’s your favorite kind of candy?

Hubs: Butterfingers and Reece's Pieces. Oh and Twix.
Me: Anything peanut butter.
Hubs: Twix isn't' peanut butter.
Me: I know, but the other two are.
Hubs: Butterfinger is peanut butter?
Me: It's supposed to sorta be like peanut butter.
Hubs: Oh.

*We had to pause here a moment because Bear and Pumpkin were demanding attention*

4. Which Rom-Com would you choose to watch while you snuggle up with your Valentine?

Hubs: Romantic Comedy?
Me: Yep.
Hubs: *Gets up to look at our DVD collection and wiggles his butt at me*
Me: *giggles*
Hubs: The Princess Bride.
Me: Why?
Hubs: It's got everything a chick wants and a guy wants all in one.
Me: Did you just call me a chick.
Hubs: I was just referring to women in general.

5. Who, in your opinion, is the best US president ever?

Hubs: I plead the 5th on this one.
Me: why?
Hubs: It's one thing you don't discuss, religion and politics.
Me: Alrighty then.

Me: Do you have anything else you want to add?
Hubs: That I love my beautiful bloggy, blogger, whatever. Oh you're the bloggER and I'm the blogg-EE.
Me: *Dying*

Conversations AND Blogger Men Tell All: December

I simply love this linkup with Becca each month for two reasons. First because the questions are always great and never fail to inspire some interesting conversation between Hubs and I. Second because it usually falls around the second Conversations Link-up date (the 15th and 30th of each month). So that means you guys get a two-fer!

Here are this month's questions.

What is one thing you really wanted for Christmas this year?
Hubs: a PS4
Me: *giggles* Sorry you couldn't get it though.
Hubs: It's alright.
Me: You did you to get some new games for your PS3 this year though.
Hubs: Yeah.
Me: Is that not good enough?
Hubs: Yeah. It was. We didn't have a bad Christmas at all.

Does your family generally do Christmas Eve or Christmas Day celebrations?
Hubs: Christmas Day.
Me: What did you guys normally do before I was in the picture?
Hubs: Cook some food. Open presents. Eat. Relax.
Me: So like, the same thing we did this year.
Hubs: Pretty Much

What is your favorite part about the holidays?
Hubs: Getting together with people and eating all the food.
Me: Anything else?
Hubs: Nah, that's about it.

What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
Hubs: I don't really have one.
Me: Really?
Hubs: Yeah. I've never made one.
Me: Well, do you have any goals you want to accomplish this year.
Hubs: Get a new refrigerator and get a shed for the backyard. Maybe get a few bills paid off.
Me: Those are pretty good.

Where will you be at the start of 2015?
Hubs: Probably asleep. It's pretty hard for me to get past 8 PM
Me: Laughing because it's so true.
Hubs: I need my beauty sleep!

Me: Anything else you want to add?
Hubs: I get a lot of days off, and that's pretty awesome.
Me: It's been nice to have you home this much.
Hubs: Yep, it's really nice.

We did have a really good holiday and I'm sure the coming weekend will be just as great! We are supposed to be getting the base gravel for our shed brought over on New Year's. Once that is in place and settled, we'll be able to buy and build our shed. That means I can clean out all the storage stuff in our second bedroom, and finish putting it together. I'll have a real guest room/office and I'm so freaking excited! The shed will also be a much better place to store our paint cans, car stuff, and our lawnmower. I guess this makes me a little bit more of an adult, huh? Being so excited about a shed.

Also, I want to leave you with this little gem. Let me set the scene for you though. We're laying in bed facing away from each other, about to try and fall asleep. Misty and Pumpkin jump on the bed to settle in with us. Pumpkin chooses a spot balancing on my side, and Misty chooses her signature spot between our butts.

Me: She just loves sitting near our butts.

Hubs: Mmm Hmm

Me: Maybe she does that cause our sleeping farts keep her warm.

Hubs: That's a plausible explanation.

Me: *giggles hard enough to wiggle Pumpkin off*

Blogger Men Tell All: The Thanksgiving Edition

I LOVE this link-up with Becca. I think Hubs does too, even though I always wait until the last min when he's half asleep to do the interview with him. Most of the time I have an idea of what he's gonna say, but sometimes he surprises me. Like with that last question.

1. What food do you look forward to most at Thanksgiving dinner?
Hubs: Green bean casserole.
Me: Do I make a good green bean casserole?
Hubs: Yeah.
Me: Best one you every had?
Hubs: Sure
(mm hmm)

2. Do you ever go shopping on Black Friday?
Hubs: We are kinda this year, but I've never been before.
Me: Why not?
Hubs: Haven't really wanted to buy anything worth getting out in the mess for.

3. What’s your favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
Hubs: idk don't really have any traditions. Eat food?
Me: Why don't we start some?
Hubs: Okay.
Me: What do you think we should start?
Hubs: Thanksgiving sex??
Me: *giggles* I guess so.... Does putting up our Christmas lights outside the weekend before count?
Hubs: Yeah, I guess it does cause we did it last year too.

4. Do you travel for the Thanksgiving holiday or do you stay close to home?
Hubs: Usually stay close to home because of my work schedule and all.
Me: Yeah, I'd rather travel for Christmas instead. Even though we're not going to be able to this year.
Hubs: Yeah. It sucks.

5. What are you most thankful for this year?
Hubs: You.
Me What about me??
Hubs: what do you mean?
Me: what about me are you thankful for??
Hubs: I'm thankful that you are an amazing cook and I'm eating better now that I have in a long time. Is that good?
Me: Yes. *blush*

Me: Is there anything else you wanna add?
Hubs: Goodnight blog people! I'm goin' to bed! (we did this last night)

And there you have it. Philip's thoughts on Thanksgiving. He fell right back asleep after I told him he was done too. Poor Hubs tries to stay up until I come home from class on Mondays and Wednesdays, but most of the time he can't. I guess the cats aren't enough entertainment for him.

What are your traditions? your favorite dish?
Most importantly, what are you thankful for most this year?

Becoming Adorrable

This time is gonna be a little bit different. Becca from Becoming Adorrable announced last week that she is hosting a link-up today as well, and it just happens that her link-up sorta fits in with mine! Blogger Men Tell All, it's an interview style conversation you have with the man in your life. Hubs and I did something similar a while back (here) and it was super fun, so I didn't see why this one wouldn't be either!

1. If you had a blog, what would you call it, and what would it be about?
Hubs: *rolls eyes and then thinks really hard* Assclowns anonymous.
Me: Really?
Hubs: Are we being serious of funny?
Me: Serious.
Hubs: Ok. Ummmm I would probably write about video games. I'm not very good at naming stuff though. But maybe something like "I Love My Gamer Butt"

2. If you could live inside any video game, which would it be?
Hubs: I have two choices. Do I have to pick one?
Me: What are your two choice?
Hubs: Mass Effect or Dragon Age.
Me: Well which one do you like better?
Hubs: Well I like them the same, but I would chose them for totally different reasons. Mass Effect for all the technology and Dragon Age cause I would get to be a knight.
Me: With shining armor?
Hubs: *nods* Uh huh. Even though I'm already your knight in shinning armor.

3. Who is your best player on your fantasy football team this season?
Hubs: Well, I'm not doing fantasy football this season.
Me: But if you were, who would you pick?
Hubs: Peyton Manning. Even though he's not doing well right now.

4. If you could play for any professional sports team, which one would it be?
Hubs: Do you really have to ask that questions? I think you know the answer.
Me: *typing*
Hubs: *scarcastically* The London Sillynannies. *laughs*
Me: *laughs* No but for real. The Broncos?
Hubs: Yes ma'am.

5. What do you typically do with an hour of free time?
Hubs: Play video games.
Me: Is that it?
Hubs: For the most part. I don't really have that much free time. It's either that or take naps.

That's my husband.
