What You Need to Know About Great Pyrenees

Just about everyone who follows me on Instagram (Bear has his own Instagram now!), or has read this blog for any length of time knows that Hubs and I have four furkids. Two rambunctious tabby cats, an energetic dachshund, and a cuddly great pyrenees. Cats are relatively easy to care for: put out food and keep the litter box clean. Dogs, on the other hand require a bit more attention and love. In my opinion small dogs are much easier than large dogs in some respects, and I should know since we have one of each. Today, however, we're going to focus on large dogs, specifically the Great Pyrenees breed.

I've compiled a list of things you need to know about this breed before you decide to adopt or rescue one. While Pyrs are oh so loving and cuddly, they can be quite stubborn and messy. Having a large breed of any kind at home is not to be taken lightly and can be a lot of work. Here are some things to consider:

1. Pyrs are BIG.

Great Pyrenees can be up to 32in tall at the shoulders (that's just under three feet!) and they can weigh 80-100+ pounds. We get comments every time we take Bear out about his size and do we have a saddle for him. While our house isn't very big, we have more open spaces which are good for Pyr owners. You don't want an excited tail knocking things over!

2. The Pyr Paw

Huge paws are another things that comes along with larger breeds. But Pyrs will paw you when they think you aren't paying enough attention to them, and this is called "the Pyr Paw". It can also be a sign of affection. So wipe down those footies when coming inside or you'll have mud everywhere.

3. Fur, fur, and more fur.

The breed is known for it's white fluffy coat. Some even have a few markings like Bear does, but even then they are mainly white in color. The coat requires brushing at least once a week with a wire brush, and during shedding seasons a fur rake; this helps get the loose furs in the undercoat out. Even with a weekly brushing, Pyrs shed A LOT, especially in the spring and summer. I recommend brushing outside during the warmer seasons. Just be prepared to sweep and vacuum several times a week to keep the accumulation down in your house.

4. Bath Time

Due to their weather proof fur, Pyrs don't need baths as often as other dogs. The two layered coat sheds dirt easily when brushed regularly. During shedding season, a warm bath can help "blow" the coat faster, but Pyrs generally need very few wet baths a year. If you have a large bathroom, and your Pyr isn't afraid of water, then by all means bathe it at home. Bear hates baths and we have a tiny bathroom, so off the to groomers he goes.

5. The Guard Dog Instinct

This breed was bred to watch over herds of sheep in the Pyrenees mountains. The instinct to guard and patrol its surroundings is strong and Pyrs need to be trained to exercise this in a civil manor. They use their size and vocal abilities to intimidate predators, and only attack as a last resort.  They also have a tendency to be territorial (Bear takes great care in guarding his bones), so this needs to be monitored closely.

6. Barks and Howls

Yep. Dogs do that, but Pyrs have a very loud bark and they bark at everything... well at least they do outside. Bear doesn't bark as much inside unless Robbie starts barking at something. Part of this is their protective instincts, because that squirrel is dangerous! Be sure to be aware of noise ordinances in your area and be sympathetic to neighbors (if you have any).

7. Demeanor and Personality

Great Pyrenees are usually pretty calm and patient dogs. When properly trained and socialized, they are very friendly, but can be shy around strangers (this doesn't apply to Bear, he loves everyone). They are great around kids and other pets, and are being used more often as service dogs, especially for the elderly. Pyrs tend to be strong willed, so taking the pack leader roll early on is a necessity for any owner.

8. Exercise and Wandering

Pyrs don't require as much exercise as most large breed dogs, but they do need to be walked or let out in a secure area daily. Due to their guarding and patrolling instincts, they tend to wander  so a leash, a strong tie out, or a fenced yard is best. Be careful in the warmer months as these furry babes can overheat fairly easily.

9. Food

Nutrition for Pyrs is so very important. They need a large breed puppy brand of food up to about 8 months old, and a large/giant breed food that is high in protein after that. Large breeds eat a lot, so large bowls or a large feeder are necessary. We supplement Bear's dry food with a high protein canned food, and when he needs an extra boost I'll make a batch of satin balls as treats.

10. Independence

Great Pyrenees are very independent. This can make them seem like they aren't intelligent, but that is completely wrong. Pyrs are very intelligent, but their priorities are not going to be the same as yours. They do things on their own time, which can make obedience training difficult at times. They are generally slow movers compared to other breeds, but have bursts of energy than can have them running around the yard like crazy. In our house, we call these the "zoomies". Fetching that ball you threw is not high on their to do list, but they do still like to play in other ways.

Each Pyr will have their own challenges to adapting and training, but with lots of love and patience they are a wonderful addition to any family.

Have you owned or been around a Great Pyrenees?
If not, do you have any pets that have specific needs that differ from the norm?

A Chewy Summer

Anyone who knows me, knows that my animals are very much my kids. I love them so very much and treat them like I would any other member of my family. I want the best for them. This made choice to partner with Chewy a no brainer.

This summer with Chewy has been great! We got to try out a brand of wet dog food that I hadn't heard of before, Merrick. They have a grain free line with added vitamins and nutrients. I'm ALWAYS looking for quality food options that my dogs will actually eat, that are also affordable. This brand fits the bill. Bear and Robbie just gobbled up this food and then turned to look at me expecting more. It comes in cases of 12 for just $31.98 which is cheaper than a case of 12 of any canned food from the local pet store. Definitely a hit in our house.

We also got to try out Blue Bits treats for our dogs AND Kitty Yums treats for our cats. Huge thanks to my rep for sending us both. The treats live up to the much respected Blue Buffalo quality and they are the perfect size for the cats and Robbie, but a little small for Bear. I ended up giving him a tiny pile on the floor so he wouldn't try to swallow my fingers too! I had to hide these treats in the cabinet because the cats would try to get into them. Needless to say they were added to the list of hits from Chewy.

Our other item is a carpet/upholstery cleaner. Rocco & Roxie Supply Co. Professional Strength Stain & Odor Eliminator. LEGIT, this stuff is amazing! I would show you before and after pics (if I had any) but it's kinda gross, so I won't. Just take my word for it. This stuff works. In my opinion it works better than Nature's Miracle. We have hardwood floors, but they don't save our floor rugs from Robbie's accidents, and this cleaner does the job. No smell, No stain, No color fade. AH-MAY-ZING! It's a little pricey at $19.97 a bottle, but totally worth it when you don't have to replace your area rugs every few months.

As always Chewy delivers the perfect products for our babies. This company truly is my favorite to work with, as is always just an email away if I have questions or concerns about the products. If you missed my past review, it is here.

Where do you get your pet supplies? Have you tried Chewy before?

Chewy: Where Pet Lovers Shop

Chewy dog and cat treats

Right now my fur kids are my only kids and even if/when we have a child, they will still be just as important to me as they are now. And if you know me, I will do just about anything for my babies (a.k.a. they are spoiled rotten. Can you smell them?) and I jumped at the opportunity to partner with Chewy especially after I found out they offer organic food and treats. There is even a special tab that will tell you every ingredient in food/treat on the website. Knowing what we feed our pets is a big deal. We eat healthy, why shouldn't they?

When Bear was sick after we got him home from his grand adventure, the Smart Stick treats from the March box (that I didn't blog about, oops) were one of the only things he could keep down. He didn't even want one of his bacon treats, but perked right up when I pulled out the Smart Sticks.

Well April's box could not have come at a better time. Let me tell you. As you can tell from that picture up there, Bear has A LOT of fur. While the warmer weather is good for us, he's not fairing to well. So you can imagine my relief when I got this FURminator Brush in the April Box. Dude. I spent an HOUR one afternoon brushing off nearly half of a garbage bag of fur off him. Half. Of. A. Garbage. Bag. Not only did his coat look so much better, he doesn't seem as bothered by the heat. I will have to keep this up throughout the spring and summer, but it's totally worth it. And that's half a garbage bag of fur I don't have to vacuum up once a week.

With the brush we got these awesome little Primal Chicken Nibs. My favorite thing about these treats is that they are safe to give to both cats and dogs! Ok. Here's a great story for you. I woke up one night to sounds in my kitchen. I got up, knowing it was one of the cats playing with something, and walked in to find Misty IN the treat cabinet, the bag of Chicken Nibs on the floor, and Bear and Pumpkin watching. Misty had already ripped a big hole in the bag, so I had to put them in a tupperware container. A few nights later I hear the same noises in the kitchen, Misty once again trying to get in that cabinet and into the treats. You guys, I had to tape the cabinet shut. That's how much they like these treats.

But I'm pretty sure their favorite part is the box.

Do you have any furkids? How many? Cats? Dogs?
What do you do special for them?

*I was compensated free products in exchange for this post. As always, my thoughts and opinions are 100% honest*

Bear The Amazing Escape Artist + #BloggerMenTellAll

Let's get real today. Monday night I experienced what I think it might be like when parents lose track of their child in a store for a few minutes.

It started out like every Monday evening. We were about to get ready to go to bed, so I put Bear outside to potty while I took a bath. About half and hour later, all fresh and clean, I step outside to bring Bear back inside. I didn't see him and he didn't come running to me. OK, sometimes he's a lazy bum and stays lounging behind the shed. I walk out there and I still don't see him. Panic starts to set in. I pull his tie out line towards me and his collar is still attached to the end, but it's been unbuckled!

I sprinted inside and woke Hubs up. I was literally on the verge of tears, but my anxiety and worry took over. How long has he been gone? How did his collar get unbuckled? Which way did he wander off to? Has he been hit by a car? Did someone steal him?

Without complaint my amazing husband got out of bed and we went out to look for him. I drove around for ten minutes, probably pissing people off with my slow speed. It felt like HOURS! No luck. I don't know why, but I decided to drive back around our block, which is the usual route we take for walks, and I finally spotted Bear. Relief. My baby is ok. I called Hubs and he made his way over to where we were. With the help of some neighbors, we corralled Bear and got his collar back on him and into my car.

It's no secret that Hubs still has reservations about Bear, and his frustration was evident that night. He made a comment that upset me as we got back into bed. "If this happens again, we are getting rid of him." Heartbreak. A few minutes later I asked if he was serious about that comment, and he said yes. However, the next morning, after being able to calm back down, and put things inter perspective I received this text message. "Hey love, sorry about last night. Just to let you know, I'll never get rid of Bear 'cause I know how much he means to you."

This is how I know he loves me. This is why I love my Hubs more and more every single day. So I'm going to let you get to know him just a little bit better with these great questions from Becca at Becoming Adorrable for Blogger Men Tell All.

1. What is your favorite winter hobby?

Hubs: Staying warm.
Me: If I were to answer this for you, I would say Sleeping and Video Games.
Hubs: Sleeping isn't really a hobby. I cuddle a lot too.
Me: True.

2. Did you do anything special for your blogger on February 14th?

Hubs: Would that be you?
Me: Yeeessss.
Hubs: Yes. I surprised you with TWO boxes of candy and I cooked dinner for you.
Me: Yes you did. It was good steak too.

3. What’s your favorite kind of candy?

Hubs: Butterfingers and Reece's Pieces. Oh and Twix.
Me: Anything peanut butter.
Hubs: Twix isn't' peanut butter.
Me: I know, but the other two are.
Hubs: Butterfinger is peanut butter?
Me: It's supposed to sorta be like peanut butter.
Hubs: Oh.

*We had to pause here a moment because Bear and Pumpkin were demanding attention*

4. Which Rom-Com would you choose to watch while you snuggle up with your Valentine?

Hubs: Romantic Comedy?
Me: Yep.
Hubs: *Gets up to look at our DVD collection and wiggles his butt at me*
Me: *giggles*
Hubs: The Princess Bride.
Me: Why?
Hubs: It's got everything a chick wants and a guy wants all in one.
Me: Did you just call me a chick.
Hubs: I was just referring to women in general.

5. Who, in your opinion, is the best US president ever?

Hubs: I plead the 5th on this one.
Me: why?
Hubs: It's one thing you don't discuss, religion and politics.
Me: Alrighty then.

Me: Do you have anything else you want to add?
Hubs: That I love my beautiful bloggy, blogger, whatever. Oh you're the bloggER and I'm the blogg-EE.
Me: *Dying*

The Joy of a Snowy Morning

I woke up this morning to a wet nose on my shoulder. I have no need for an alarm clock, because Bear has his own schedule and he makes sure I stick to it. I put on my robe and walked with him to the back door and you know what we saw? SNOW! So I hurried back to the bedroom to bundle up, grabbed my wellies, and we headed outside.

Great Pyrenees are made for cold weather and mountains. While we don't live in a very mountainous region, we do have plenty of cold weather for Bear to frolic in. It's only snowed one other time since we've had him and it was barely a dusting that time. Today we had a few inches to play with.

Seeing him running around, biting the snow, and just genuinely have the best time ever completely made my day. You can see the joy he had, I could feel it! What a wonderful and amazing blessing it is to wake up to this scene, to have this moment with Bear, to witness his elation over something so simple. I am truly grateful to my husband for giving in to my pleading to adopt Bear, for putting up with all the little issues of adjustments, for trying to love Bear as much as I do (Hubs is not really a dog person). It makes me love Hubs even more to know that he loves me so much that he will do nearly anything to make me happy. And happy, I am.

What are you grateful for today?
Do your dogs love the snow as much as mine?
How has your spouse shown thier love for you?

Praise for a Grateful Heart

There is victory in the Lord! Yes, my friends, there is. And my wonderful Husband made a very important commitment to God, to me, and to the world yesterday. Yesterday, a long with 3 others, Philip was baptized. You guys, I can't tell how how much joy this has provided, but it brought me to tears. I am so, so grateful for Jesus and His saving grace.

I am also grateful that Bear is doing so much better now after his "surgery" on Friday. #nomoreballs
Poor baby was so pitiful and lethargic until Sunday afternoon, but this morning he's almost back to his normal self.

In other news, I've installed two new Blog designs in the past couple weeks! The latest being Kendra's over at Kenji is Here. (I did Grady's over at Gradybird last week) The more I do them, the more I learn and it's a wonderful thing.

Kenji is Here - Blog Design by Amanda Wood Designs

Working with my clients is the best part of the design process. By having open communications with them, I have the privilege to get to know them beyond their blog content and comments. It's magical to bring their personalities to life with colors, fonts, and images. And their sweet words of praise just melt my heart and reassure me that my decision to start doing designs was a good one.

What are you grateful for this week?

The Awesome Thing About Dogs

Awesome things about dogs

Today I am co-hosting this AWESOME link-up with Anne! And you know what? I couldn't be more excited! This link-up along with Emily's Grateful Heart really help me to stay optimistic and keep the good juices flowing.

We've had Bear now for just over a month and I think we're all settled in and finally used to each other. There are so many great things about him and about having a dog in general. And in true blogger fashion and because that's how this link-up works, we're doing this list style!

1. They are incredibly loyal.
Once you are a part of their pack, they will protect you and guard you and love you to pieces.

2. They provide excellent companionship.
Bear is always ready and willing for snuggles, kisses, cuddles, and walks.

3. Great foot warmers.
I don't know about your pets, but Bear likes to lay on my feet. And right now during this cold winter I do not mind at all. The cats will lay on us too and that helps keep our laps and hands warm.

4. A source of entertainment.
Bear does the funniest hop when he's excited to be outside. He looks like a lamb or a goat jumping about. I really really need to get this on video sometime.

5. Motivation to workout.
You have to exercise dogs, plain and simple. Otherwise they get into things they shouldn't and can possibly destroy your home. So they motivate you to get out and walk them. You're moving, they are moving. Win Win for both of you.

6. Decrease Blood Pressure.
Studies have shown that owning dogs and cats can help to reduce blood pressure, and symptoms of depression and anxiety. I actually did an entire research paper on the benefits of Therapy dogs in hospitals and nursing homes. But that's a post for another day.

7. They can alert you to intruders (and squirrels, falling leaves, and sometimes the wind blowing).
Even if you dog is friendly, they still know when something bad is happening. Many dogs bark when they hear people at your door or strange noises around your house. No one will ever come on to my property unannounced ever again.

8. They eat the food you drop on the floor.
Spill some cereal when pouring your bowl? Kids throwing their goldfish off the highchair? Have like two bites of food left on your plate but you are so full? No problem! Your dog will clean that up for you in a jiffy. Just don't over do it on human food! It can upset their tummies.

9. They attract people.
Seriously. More people have come up to talk to me while I'm walking him. One man even asked to take a picture of him! (he's a sweet old man who has a doggy too, not a creepy stalker guy!) Legit, if you are single, get yourself a dog and head to the dog park, local pet store, or even take a stroll through town. You are guaranteed to meet at least one person, and you know they will be a dog person cause that's why they are talking to you to begin with, and we all know dog people are the best kind of people. (my bad for that crazy run on sentence...)

10. They just ARE! ok? ok.

I love Bear so much, and Hubs is coming around slowly, but surely. I get so melty when I see them bonding. Favorite present EVER.

Check out Anne when you get a chance. And if you choose to sponsor her, you will NOT be the least bit sorry. I always enjoy my time on her sidebar and it's brought us closer together as bloggy friends.

Grateful Heart, Wed Wishes, & Monthly Musings: Dec

The Rambling Llama

I know I'm late for all of these link-ups (Grateful Heart, Wednesday Wishes, and Monthly Musings), but I'm not really sorry about it. I had my finals yesterday and if you follow me on Twitter, you'll know I was boobs deep in books and notes for the past few days.

I love this time of year. It's full of joy, giving, and wonderful sights, tastes, and sounds. It's always been my favorite because my whole family gathers in one place at the same time. That almost never happens for anything else. This year, however, Philip and I will not be able to join them in person. I did make my mom download Skype on her tablet so we can video chat on Christmas morning while we open gifts.

There is so much to be thankful and grateful for in my life. If you've been around these parts for a while, especially on Mondays, you'll know that I like to focus on the good stuff rather than the bad. It helps me to stay positive and not get pulled down into a depressive state... my fluffy furkids help in that department too.

I am glad to have a break from school for a few weeks over this Holiday Season. I am glad that Hubs gets Christmas and New Year's Day off from work. I am glad that he took a half day off today to take me to see The Hobbit *insert happy dance here* I am so so so so glad to know that I made an A in my speech class and I am confident that I made an A in my Psychology class as well. I am glad that my mom is excited for us to receive the gifts she has sent us. I am glad that I found a tripod and remote capture for taking photos with my phone! I am glad that Hubs likes the gifts I found for him. I am glad Bear has done so well in our home. I am glad for you, my lovely readers. Without you I might have given up on this space a few months ago. Without you, I would not have met so many wonderful people.

I hope everyone has as much to be thankful and grateful for as me this year. #IWinThisThursday

Conversations with...

... Bear

What? You know you have conversations with your pets too. It's a regular occurrence at my house. And now that we have Bear I get to flaunt my crazy on the streets of this tiny Missouri town.

One of the stipulations in Hubs letting us adopt Bear was that I would be the primary caregiver (like he is for the cats) and I agreed. So, that means I walk him more often than not, and honestly, I am totally fine with that (hello workout motivation!). During our walks Bear and I get to have our own little conversations. I know that not everyone speaks dog, so I'll translate for you.

Me: Come on Bear, time to go potty.

Bear: *wags tail and walks to the door* (translation: Yay! Let's go, Mom!)

Me: *lightly tugs on the leash* Come on Booger Butt, we're going this way today.

Bear: *pulls me back the other way a bit* (translation: But Mom! I have to check out this tree!)

Me: We'll check out that tree on the way back. Come on.

Bear: *gives in and walks with me* (translation: Fine...)

Me: *pats his head* Good boy.

Bear: *stops at a bush and pees* (translation: I just gotta leave a message for Ramsey {the neighbor's dog} real quick)

Me: *waits*

Bear: *continues to walk with me, but constantly trying to roam into people's yards* (translation: I wonder who lives here, and here, and here, and here.)

Me: No, Bear, that's not our yard.

Bear: *spots a lady on her morning run and gets excited jumping and wagging his tail* (translation: LOOK MOM! A person! Do you think they want to play with me?)

Me: Calm down Booger. She doesn't want to play with you.

Bear: *watches her pass and bows his head down to continue our walk* (translation: Dang. Maybe next time.)

Me: *continues walking and lets him poop* Okay Bear, let's turn around.

Bear: *stops dead in his tracks* (translation: But I'm not ready to go home yet.)

Me: Bear, Let's go. *tugs on leash and makes that click sound you make to your pets*

Bear: *very slowly walks with me* (translation: Fine...)

We're almost home at this point.

Bear: *spots a squirrel and tries to take off running after it* (translation: SQUIRREL!)

Me: *plants my feet and pulls him back* No, Bear! You can't get that squirrel! Now calm down and let's go home.

Bear: *walks with me again, still slowly but stopping to check out signs and trees and bushes* (translation: Fine, but I need to check my messages)

Me: *opens the front door* Okay Booger Butt, in you go.

Bear: *plops down on his bed in the living room* (translation: Man, I'm beat. Time for a nap)

Through The Lens - November Moments

I was tagged on Instagram by Kristen at Treats and Travels to showcase my favorite photos from November for her Through The Lens Link-up. I loved this idea and I finally got around to doing this post today, better late than never right? School has been keeping me so busy lately, that I almost forgot about it. There were so many wonderful photos to choose from, but I narrowed it down to my absolute favs for you. There's a little story behind each one too!

1. I was snapchatting a few friends and took an amazing selfie. I just had to save it. Sometimes you get the best ones when you aren't trying too hard.

2. Being a Psychology major, I have to write paper ALL. THE. TiME. This sometimes takes away attention from my fur kids, and they do not like that at all. These two snuggle bugs figured out how to get some mommy time while I was finishing up a mid-term paper.

3. Early on in the month I found on that I made the Dean's List!! Now I have proof that I'm smart!

4. My new addiction to Peppermint Mochas at home. *insert heart eyes emoji here* I didn't realize that this creamer was so amazing. I'm glad it jumped into my cart that day at the store.

5. Hubs and I have a date night each week, usually the same day we go to the grocery store. Sometimes I make him stop and pose for a picture. Got a good one this time!

6. After adopting Bear, I realized that he is the perfect motivation for me to get up and get moving more. So now we have a sweet little walk schedule that is benefiting us both!

7. I snapped this little gem the day we adopted Bear. We were waiting for the ok to go meet him, when Pumpkin decided she wanted under the blanket with Hubs.

8. This is my favorite picture right now. One morning, we were taking our usual route, and Bear just stopped. Then I turned around and saw this sunrise. He turned a bit and just stood there very still. It was like he was telling me to take this picture.

What were your favorite photos of November?

Wishes Do Come True: Meet Bear

I have been working on Philip for a few months now to get a dog. I love dogs, he's not a huge dog fan, but he said that IF we got a dog it would be a big dog. So I would periodically look at craigslist, petfinder, and the local shelters websites to see what was out there and occasionally I would send a picture of one to Hubs. It wasn't working on him. He doesn't get the same warm and fuzzies from looking at doggie pictures like most people. Until yesterday.

I was Snapchatting with my friend Kaity and we ended up talking about pets. She just recently had to put her dog down because she got cancer and has been kind down about it, but her sister has promised to get her a new pup once she finishes Med-School (yeah, I have really smart friends). And I told her that I keep asking for a doggie, but Philip keeps saying "no" or "not right now."

Inspired, I checked craigslist. Where I found an ad for a "Free Great Pyrenees." I was Shocked. FREE? Curious, I clicked the ad and there he was.

I fell in love instantly. He was so big and a child was laying on him, and just look at that happy face!! I took a screenshot and sent it right over to Hubs saying "Pleeeeeaaaassssseeeeeeeeeeeeee," then I proceeded to email with the owner of this beautiful dog. They call him Brutus, he is completely house trained, he's calm, shy around cats, and good with other dogs and kids. The more she told me about Brutus, the more I just knew he was the perfect dog for our family.  When Hubs finally responded to the plethora of text I was sending him about this gorgeous dog, all he could say was "wow." Once Hubs got home and I talked to him about it more, he agreed that we could go meet Brutus since he was located in the same town we live in.

We got to their house and I was a goner. Brutus was so gentle and sweet. We talked to the family and discovered they were having to re-home Brutus because they were going to be given a service dog for their 3 year old son who has Type 1 Diabetes and due to the rules with service dogs, you cannot have another dog in the house. Such a blessing for them, but it was bittersweet. I was so touched by their story, I knew we were doing the right thing in adopting Brutus from them because we live so close and their son could come visit Brutus whenever he wants. The emotion from them when we were walking out the door with Brutus and all his things was evident. They loved him and would miss him dearly, but they were also happy that Brutus was going to such a good home.

We got Brutus home and I was looking at him and thinking about his name. It didn't suit him. I said something to Philip about it, and we decided we could change it, but it needed to be something similar to Brutus. That's when I remembered that his previous family called him a big snuggled polar bear. Bear. That was it, the perfect name for this ginormous, sweet, fluffy dog.

Our cats were not very happy with us at first, but towards the end of the night Pumpkin was getting braver, but they both were keeping a very watchful eye on Bear. This morning, Pumpkin seems like her normal self, but Misty is still weary and cautious. I don't think it will take long for them to get acclimated to each other since Bear doesn't bother them at all. Like, he has absolutely ZERO interest in them, and I think it's helped so much.

I simply adore Bear and I just know that Philip will fall in love with him soon, just like I did. And since today is Wednesday, and since I got my wish, I have a wish for you. I wish that if you haven't already found the perfect furbabies for your family, that you do soon. They add so much love and cuddles and happiness into the home, how could you not want one?!

What's the adoption story behind your pet?
